Who We Are

Empowering Student Leaders

The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration chapter of the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) is the official student wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on campus. GIMPA-TEIN exists to advance the party’s social democratic tradition within the academic community by promoting political education, leadership development, civic responsibility, and disciplined activism grounded in ideas, values, and service.

As a recognized component of the NDC family, GIMPA-TEIN draws its authority, direction, and ethos from the NDC Constitution, party resolutions, and established guidelines governing youth and student participation. The chapter serves as a structured platform through which students are prepared intellectually, ethically, and practically for leadership within the party and the Ghanaian state.

Our Journey

Ideological Foundation

GIMPA-TEIN is anchored in the social democratic philosophy of the National Democratic Congress. This tradition emphasizes freedom, justice, equality of opportunity, solidarity, and collective responsibility. It affirms the role of the state in promoting social welfare, reducing inequality, protecting the vulnerable, and ensuring that national resources are managed in the public interest.

Consistent with the NDC’s founding principles, the chapter upholds probity, accountability, inclusiveness, internal democracy, and respect for constitutional governance. Our political engagement is therefore issue-driven, people-centered, and informed by evidence, policy analysis, and national development priorities.

Relationship with the National Democratic Congress

GIMPA-TEIN functions as an integral component of the NDC's youth and student development ecosystem. The chapter works in close collaboration with constituency, regional, and national party structures, contributing to mobilization, policy advocacy, and leadership development.
